MeeGo 1.1 closer look and Nokia N series - iOS 4 vs Android 2.2 vs MeeGo

I’m pretty sure Nokia isn’t dead yet, because recently MeeGo team has announced their first handset user experience MeeGo 1.1 interface project called “Day 1” with images and videos at MeeGo blog, I inserted some images below, just take a look, it looks great, MeeGo might be the next competitor for iOS 4 and android 2.2. So here is the great news Nokia planning to use MeeGo on N series phones, what a move by Nokia so in near future we can see good N series phones by Nokia with big screens, multi-touch (I love to ;-) pinch and zoom ), big dedicated apps store.
MeeGo team informed that MeeGo 1.1 is scheduled to release in October, currently MeeGo team working hard on creating the handset reference user experience and preparing the MeeGo UI design principles and interaction guidelines, according to the MeeGo blog post headset Day 1 project demonstrated following guide lines: headset main screen status bar with clock, connection bar, battery charge bar, notifications, then the lock screen, application launcher, virtual keyboard and more. Currently MeeGo supports Intel Atom-basted headsets and ARM compatible Nokia N900 headsets.

IOS 4 VS ANDROID 2.2 VS MEEGO
I found this test results at techlivez.com, according to the site it’s a browser test between Android 2.2 vs iOS 4 vs MeeGo, headsets were used for the test Nokia Aava, Nexus One, iPhone 4. All these devices installed the latest version of Firefox and Chrome, and Safari. SunSpider was used to benchmark these browsers.

According to the site here is the results, (lower is better) MeeGo took 4.215 seconds and Android 2.2 (Froyo) took 5.765 seconds and iOS 4 took 10.902 seconds. You can see clearly MeeGo won the compaction and the Android 2.2 is second, finally iOS 4, this is just only a browser test not more than that, but somehow we can decide which one is suites for us, the number one OS, iOS 4 with almost 2,00,000 apps or fast growing Android or best and latest MeeGo? It’s your decision but an important thing, another strong competitor Microsoft coming on the way with windows 7 mobile.
